The hunger arrives and Penelope leaves the car in the parking lot and crutch to a restaurant and sits down on the outdoor dining area to eat lunch. 
Then we see when Penelope jumps with the crutches towards the car again and you can see that she is very careful not to fall into her new slippers and accidentally put down her short leg cast.
